Case Study: National Press Coverage
Objective: Powerhouse Communications has worked with many regional brands that have desired national consumer exposure as part of their goal to become a household name across the country.
Challenge: Typically, the biggest challenge involved with securing national press for a regional brand is that the restaurant/product may not be available to audiences everywhere. More specifically, oftentimes the brands are not located in major national media markets (i.e. NYC), where the media and their audience are able to experience the product/brand easily.
Solution: In order to secure inclusion for growing clients, Powerhouse is continuously brainstorming angles that would provide value to a national media outlet and its audience. Pitching angles ranged from trending and timely to surprising and outrageous. Agency watched trends closely, proactively presented ideas to client, and pitched ways in which clients could be part of bigger stories. Additionally, the Agency carefully nurtured new and existing relationships with target national media contacts and even helped facilitate meetings between journalists and key executives when either party was traveling in respectful markets.
